2020 Mazda6: Superb Driving Dynamics Balanced With Sophisticated Styling
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 3, 2020, ALL 2020 MAZDA6 VEHICLES RELEASED FROM PORT AFTER THIS DATE WILL INCREASE DESTINATION AND HANDLING TO $945 ($990 IN ALASKA). IN ADDITION, MID-YEAR PRICING FOR ALL 2020 MAZDA6 MODELS WILL INCREASE BY $100 AND HAVE A STARTING MSRP (NOT INCLUDING DESTINATION AND HANDLING, TAXES, TITLE OR ADDITIONAL FEES) OF $24,100.

IRVINE, Calif. (October 25, 2019) – The 2020 Mazda6 remains one of the sportier options in the midsize sedan segment. Blended with an athletic appearance and impressive interior, Mazda’s flagship midsize sedan symbolizes a well-rounded premium ownership experience. A grasp of the new key fob design unlocks the doors to an oasis for the driver and its passengers. A press of the push button start, initiates the soothing rumble of the engine ready for the next driving adventure.

Mazda6 Sport comes standard with the full suite of i-Activsense safety features, which includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with stop and go function, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Inside, occupants can enjoy the Mazda ConnectTM infotainment system with eight-inch full color, touch screen display, six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth phone and audio pairing, two USB ports, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, remote keyless entry and electronic parking brake. More standard premium features that provide convenience and style for owners include automatic on/off headlights, High Beam Control, rain sensing windshield wipers, rearview camera, seat belt reminder indicator for all passengers, LED headlight with auto-leveling, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust outlets.

Mazda6 Touring includes all of the features in the Mazda6 Sport, but upgrades to integrate Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM capabilities, leatherette-trimmed seats, heated front seats, six-way power driver’s seat with manual lumbar support, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry System, power moonroof with interior sunshade, 19-inch alloy wheels and two rear seat USB charging ports.

Elevating the premium experience of the midsize sedan, Mazda6 Grand Touring boasts a turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine, which can generate a robust 310 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 RPM and up to 250 horsepower with 93 octane gasoline (227 horsepower with 87 octane gasoline). Mazda6 Grand Touring trim levels and above feature larger front ventilated brake discs. This trim level also adds a BOSE® 11-speaker premium audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio with three-month trial subscription, auto-diming interior mirror and driver-side mirror, heated side mirrors and paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve incorporates many premium features typically found in luxury midsize sedans. These include features such as a windshield-projected, full-color Active Driving Display head-up unit, Adaptive Front-lighting system, black or Parchment leather-trimmed seats, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, automatic power folding side mirrors, windshield wiper de-icer, eight-way power and memory driver’s seat with power lumbar support and six-way power passenger’s seat. The styling is also enhanced with a sophisticated, yet sporty bright silver finish 19-inch alloy wheels, LED signature lighting headlights and a rear lip spoiler.

The top-trim Mazda6 Signature is an aspirational trim level that exemplifies Mazda designers’ abilities to create an uncompromised blend of premium styling, dynamic performance and intuitive amenities. One can’t help but notice its exceptional design features from the gunmetal front grille to the new Signature badge on the trunk, the styling helps provide an appealing appearance inviting all to sit inside. The sophisticated interior is available in either Parchment or Deep Chestnut Nappa leather and adorned with authentic Japanese Sen wood and gilded UltraSuede interior accents. A 360º View Monitor with front and rear parking sensors, seven-inch TFT reconfigurable digital gauge display, Mazda navigation system, Traffic Sign Recognition and SiriusXM three-year Traffic and Travel Link subscription add to the convenient and safety features of the Mazda6. The black headliner, frameless rearview mirror, LED ambient lights and unique stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel complete the heightened look and feel.

All 2020 Mazda6 trim levels come equipped with G-Vectoring Control Plus and are available with either a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine that is rated to deliver 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque or a turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine, which can generate a robust 310 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 RPM and up to 250 horsepower with 93 octane gasoline (227 horsepower with 87 octane gasoline). To build upon the fuel efficiency Mazda’s SKYACTIV engines are known for, cylinder-deactivation technology is standard on Mazda6’s 2.5-liter engine, which shuts off its two outside cylinders in cruising conditions for even more efficiency. A quick-shifting Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission is equipped on all Mazda6 models and includes a Sport Mode that recalibrates the gear ratios for more spirited driving.
