MAZDA’S SUBCOMPACT CX-3 IS AMONG THE SAFEST IN ITS CLASS, ACCORDING TO IIHS
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently named the Mazda CX-3 a 2016 Top Safety Pick+, joining Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5 with this distinguished distinction.
Mazda’s SKYACTIV advanced safety technologies and structural innovations helped the CX-3 stands out in some of the most stringent safety tests in the world.
CX-3 obtained its Top Safety Pick+ honor through earning the highest rating in five body-structure categories, including small-overlap crash-testing, and have an advanced rating in available collision-prevention technologies like automatic braking—a new requirement in this year’s evaluations.
Available with Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE Technology, CX-3 uses active safety technologies that support safe driving by helping the driver to recognize potential hazards, and pre-crash safety technologies, which help to avert collisions or reduce their severity in situations where they cannot be avoided.
We’re talking Radar Cruise Control, Smart City Braking, High Beam Control, Rain-sensing wipers and Lane Departure Warning. Each of these, combined with Mazda’s SKYACTIV body and chassis, all working together to instil confidence and safety into drivers and passengers.
