MX-30: Different by Design

Purposefully Designed with the Driver in Mind

The first all-electric Mazda MX-30 evolves the brand’s artful design principle and unique driving performance to create an EV that is technologically modern yet feels warm and inviting.

Mazda’s all-new electrification technology offers a smooth and seamless performance while directly responding to the driver’s intentions. In addition, the electric G-Vectoring Control Plus delivers precise and responsive steering to form a strong connection between car and driver.

Bringing Mazda’s Values to an EV

Mazda is known for designing vehicles that are crafted for the human body — where every detail is engineered to create a joyful driving experience. Relentless in their pursuit of beauty, Mazda designers strive to achieve an alluring simplicity that embraces Japanese aesthetics. Born from our obsession to create beautiful vehicles, Mazda’s philosophy of KODO design, “Soul of Motion,” uses simplicity and reflection of light to capture movement.

Everything about the MX-30, from the styling that delivers a sense of familiarity to the calming openness and airiness, is uncompromisingly designed around the driver. Mazda defines driving dynamics by the Jinba-itaii philosophy that translates as the joy of driving; where the driver feels a oneness with the car, just as a rider is connected to their horse. The unique-to-Mazda vehicle design and e-SKYACTIV-Technology brings this philosophy to the brand’s first electric vehicle. Mazda’s commitment to driving dynamics is evident in the comfortable, stable performance of the MX-30.

MX-30’s Impressive Design

Embodying an evolved expression of our Kodo design, the Mazda MX-30 has been meticulously sculpted into a simple yet stunning form. It features a pillarless freestyle door system, providing a greater sense of openness. Fully opening both the front and rear doors reveals and a wide range of possibilities for experiencing the vehicle.

Human Centricity, Reimagined

The Mazda MX-30 interior brings together intricate detailing, select materials and the latest technology to create a space that feels open and inviting. Our commitment to the environment, and to comfort and craftsmanship, is evident in the unique use of cork, recycled fabrics and other sustainable materials.

The design of the Mazda MX-30 interior follows the same Human Centric design approach as other vehicles in our lineup. Elements such as the floating console, streamlined instrument panel, and ergonomically designed gauges all contribute to a minimal, flowing look that is both pleasing to the eye and functions to help keep the driver’s attention on the road ahead.

The Mazda MX-30 is designed to feel like an extension of the driver — to offer a flow of connectivity from the steering wheel to the road in a way only Mazda can create. This is an EV, yes; but most importantly, it’s a Mazda.
