2004 Mazda MX-5 Miata

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Mazda Miata is the world’s best-selling sports car. Automobile magazine often has referred to it as an “All- Star,” Motor Trend magazine called it the “best bang for the buck roadster,” and Edmunds.com said it was a “Consumers’ Most Wanted Convertible for under $25,000.” It also is the car that brought the affordable, fun-to-drive, two-seat roadster segment back to life in 1989 and has continued to set sales records since. Opponents say it’s a fearsome competitor on the racetrack; consumers, however, say it remains an unmatched driving value and a heck of a fun car. As the ultimate ride for sheer driving and ownership pleasure, Miata returns to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a 2004 model sporting styling and trim modifications. However, it still leaves the very essence of the “oneness of horse and rider” – the development credo of the original Miata – as elemental and as true as ever.
